BYC 2015 One Design Series Day #1 at BeniciaApril 3
Story
It was a perfect opening night, sunny and Benicia warm to start with a solid ebb and steady wind coming out of the west 15-18knts for the first race then softening to a consistent 12-15. Boat speed looked great and racing was tight for the 2nd and 3rd race. Watching Chris Klein's boat stay flat with crew hiked like he was made of rubber, we asked what new teenager did Chris recruit? Clearly Scott's offseason yoga and ab training paid off! Opening races were two double sausages then a single. Seven boats were on the line plus Josh running awesome back and forth reaches with a sailor in training.

It was the first night with our new iStart auto-start horn system. It worked like a charm allowing the RC to focus on racing boats, drinking a beer while still cold, and giving plenty of time for RC support Sadonna and Hun to take selfies. Feedback was positive from sailors too. The only recommendation is boats should stay close to the RC boat after finishing to hear the horn.

C-ya next week!
